Accessibility
I want this site to work for everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or other assistive technology.
Standard and status
The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. It is partially conformant: most of it meets the standard, but not every part does yet. This is based on my own testing on 19 October 2026: automated checks (Lighthouse and axe) on the main pages and a manual keyboard walk-through. It has not been audited by a third party.
What works
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages use proper headings and landmarks; after moving to a new page, focus goes to its heading.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio, and the site can be zoomed and used at small screen widths.
- With “reduce motion” turned on in your system settings, the animations are switched off.
- The contact form has labels, explains errors next to the field and announces when a message has been sent.
